OTHERfolk 2011

Mudtown Records presents the 2nd Annual OTHERfolk Festival in downtown Owen Sound, on Thursday, August 18th, sponsored by Fox Chrysler Dodge Jeep in association with the Mix 106.5 featuring one full day and night of music and art in over a dozen downtown venues with 50 plus artists from home and away; including folk music, blues, classical music, electronica, rock ‘n roll, visual art, sculpture,  films, authors, and more.  Advance all-access tickets are $10 ($5 for 18 & under) and are available until August 17th at any of the official OTHERfolk 2011 venues listed below, as well as Randy’s Records and the Bean Cellar.  Tickets will be available at the door for $15 ($10 for 18 and under – 6 & under FREE).

An Art and Culture Walk featuring art and cultural displays in numerous storefronts and buildings. The Owen Sound Farmer’s Market Night Market with food vendors, artisans, and artists. Free Outdoor Concerts at the Riverside Bandstand and the Market Building.  A Jazz Lounge featuring a cocktail bar and live jazz.  A new High Decibel Venue featuring OTHERfolk’s loudest acts. Art Exhibitions and Classical Music at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery.
